40 panel wall - the worlds largest - 7.5m x 2.6m

DB installed and provided tech support for an 8 x 5 panel wall for a conference in London - all from our own rental stock. The production company used Watchout event software to provide a very clear and bright high resolution super wide 32:9 aspect ratio image for the 450 strong audience.

The wall ran a mixture of slide shows, DVD and even an audience participation game!

DB had 2 crews for the job - one for the over-night rig and the other to provide tech support.

8 x 2 wall for DB Systems open day

We demonstrated both an 8 x 2 wall and a 4 x 4 running High Definition (HD) content for part of our Open Day.

Worlds longest Seamless Plasma wall

DB Systems supplied, installed and maintained the worlds longest seamless plasma wall from our own hire stocks at Farnborough Airshow 2006.

The 28 panel wall, 14 long by 2 high, measured just under 14m in length and, to make life more interesting, was 4m up in a curve on an uneven floor.

DB techs worked closely with the design company to over come these issues and the result made even Tony Blair do a double take and specifically return to the stand to have a closer look.

With an aspect ratio of 112:9, the wall was run effectively at an ultra widescreen resolution of 5971 x 480. Control of the wall itself was via a wireless LAN designed in house by our IT technical team. All screens were perfectly colour balanced.

4 x 4 wall on a conference set

Event: Annual lunch for Trade Association

Venue: Nine Kings Suite, Royal Lancaster Hotel, London

DB Systems were contracted to provide sound, lighting, video systems, staging and set for the annual lunch of a Trade Association with some 750 attendees. DBS designed the stage and the integration of lighting, video and PA to give a high impact appearance for the event.

Due to the not-for-profit nature of the trade association, DBS was required to provide a budget solution that would, nonetheless have a professional and high impact appearance on attendees.

Video
16 DB Systems MPDP seamless plasma screens were integrated into the stage set. The final screen size was more than 3 metres wide and 2.5 metres high. This created a dynamic and changing set which drew the attention of the attendees and saved on valuable space.

PA
DBS provided 16 d&b E3 speakers distributed around the venue from flying points in the roof so as to deliver absolute clarity of sound to every corner of the room.

Lighting
Source 4 pars and profile lamps were flown from the roof of the venue and further uplighters placed on the stage to give the stage and set a maximum impact. Brand colours were used to light the stage


The distance from the back wall of the room to the front of the stage was only 3 metres thus allowing for more seating for attendees.
In addition, DBS flew 61” plasma screens from the roof to give clarity to the attendees who were further from the stage.

Flown 3 x 3 in Dubai

DB were contracted to provide a 3m x 1.5m seamless wall off truss for the launch of the Airbus A380 super jumbo plane at the Dubai Air Show.

Technical issues included lifting the wall over the A380 fuselage - not one for the faint hearted, including our insurance company!

The customer was extremely pleased with the result.

6 x 1 at Paris exhibition

DB provided consultation for this project, as well as delivery, installation, support and de-rig. The consultation was to make sure the end client, a pharmaceutical company, got their graphics in the correct format so that they would work in this super wide format.

The customer produced the file in 96:9 format and DB cut the file into 6 pieces. This enabled us to easily run the file using our frame specific pro DVD players and a sync box.

The result? A show stopping AV display that people stopped and watched.
